Chapter 1
THE FALL
It was midnight. The cool breeze in the air, but something was wrong. There was evil lingering in the air.
A 23-year-old woman, named Lexi, was working in her office when she heard a crash. She turned and saw that there was no one there except her. When she had arrived, the room was bustling with people, but, now it was empty, quiet and still.
Lexi was scared. She knew that someone was after her, but who? She tried to think of all the people who would go after her for revenge. There was ….Kathy? No. Kathy moved to New Hampshire and told Lexi not to text her, call her or even come to New Hampshire.
Lexi had never broken a promise, but she was in New Hampshire now because of her job. Was Kathy after her? Lexi moved to the window and looked down. The city was bustling with people. She was about to turn around when she was face - to face with Kathy.
Lexi screamed as Kathy smirked. She knew that Kathy would never hurt her, but she had changed. Lexi took a step backwards. One more step and she would fall to her doom.
Step. She had stepped back. She fell screaming, and shouting, remarkably, she was still alive. She woke up on the ground, panting, the first thing she thought was, what happened? She knew that she had fell but she couldn’t remember the person’s face. Then she knew, that blur, that person who had dark brown hair was Kathy.
Kathy? No,no, no. It couldn’t be Kathy, but she knew it was. She tried to remember why Kathy would do this when she remembered the memory.
Chapter 2
THE MEMORY
When Lexi and Kathy were friends, they had a play date. When it was time to eat popsicles, there was one orange popsicle left. Both girls loved orange popsicles and they fought over who should have a popsicle.
Lexi told Kathy that she would take the popsicle and that she would split it for both of them, but when Lexi got hold of the popsicle, she tore off the wrapper and shoved the entire thing in her mouth.
Lexi didn’t notice Kathy crying in the corner. She didn’t even notice Kathy walking off angrily toward the sidewalk. From then on, Kathy always gave Lexi the cold shoulder. When their teacher picked Lexi and Kathy as partners, Kathy said that she would go with anyone else.
Lexi went to Kathy when it was recess, and Kathy actually pushed her!! Luckily Lexi was able to regain her balance, but she saw that Kathy and some other girls were looking her at despise.
Chapter 3
THE TALK
Lexi shuddered at the memory and looked above, Kathy was standing there holding a slip of paper. She dropped it down and said, “ Goodbye, Lexi. See you soon.” Lexi caught the paper and read it. It had an address on it, and said:
Lexi went home and stayed awake the entire night. When it was 8:00 P.M, Lexi arrived at the castle. It was gloomy, scary and uninviting. She went inside and saw Kathy sitting on a chair. Kathy said, “Hello Lexi, glad to see you’ve come.” Lexi replied, “I saw t-the l-letter and I….”
Kathy replied smugly, “Well, I see you’re still the same old same Lexi. How pathetic.” Lexi felt lava boiling inside her. How dare she say that. Lexi defended herself and said, “Well, at least I’m still the same, you on the other hand..well let's not talk about you.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I agree with you. Today is about you. Not me. Not this chair. You. I don't know if you remember, but that day with the popsicle, you took the orange one and you didn’t ev--” “ I SAID I WAS SORRY, YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME!!!”
“Before you rudely interrupted me, I was going to say that you didn’t notice me crying in the corner, you didn’t even notice me leave. I don’t care about the popsicle, I could have gotten more, but you were the one who didn’t even pay attention to me.” “ I didn’t know that. I didn’t see you. We are both kids, and kids make mistakes and--” “ I’M SO OUTTA HERE. GOOD BYE LEXI, AND DON’T EVEN BOTHER FOLLOWING ME!!” Lexi sighed and drove the long way home.

THE ATTEMPT
Lexi woke the next day and she knew that she and Kathy had a big argument She wanted to resolve it but, why had Kathy screams at her? Lexi hadn’t screamed at Kathy, right? Fine. Lexi had screamed at Kathy, but she was provoked, how could she stand there like a statue when Kathy had insulted her!! Lexi knew it was time for the prank war.
Lexi had to know where Kathy was in order to do the prank. She luckily remembered that she put a tracker on Kathy's jacket. this way she can check her using the GPS system that she was working on. Lexi looked on her phone and saw that Kathy esd inside the same building as yesterday when they met. Lexi look online to see what kind of pranks to look for when she realize that she didn't need pranks she's even need the computer she would make up her own prank something that Kathy would never have thought of.
Lexie got in your car and drove to that same building. she wanted to scare Kathy into thinking that Lexie was not the same person, but then she realized that she just wanted to tell Kathy that she was sorry. She then took a piece of paper and wrote:
Lexi put the paper on the old chair and said,” Kathy look at the chair.” Lexi quickly ran away and saw Kathy she got in her car and drove.

Lexi was shaking in surprise. She couldn’t wait until 9:00. As soon as the time came to 9, Lexi sprinted, got in her car and drove. She saw Kathy holding her note. Lexi asked Kathy what she wanted to talk about and Kathy said, “Lexi, please forgive me. I overreacted. Can we be friends again?”
Lexi said, “Kathy I don’t know if you could be my best friend, but we could be friends.” Kathy agreed and to this day, Kathy and Lexi are still friends.
Kathy suddenly woke up. It was a dream. She knew it was too good to be true. She glanced at the clock: 9:28. She rushed out of bed and ran to the place. There was Kathy. Lexi tried to see Kathy to see if she had a smile or a smirk. She couldn’t see. Finally, Kathy said something.

She said, “ Do you forgive me?” Lexi didn’t know what to say. So she nodded in surprise. Kathy laughed and said, “Oh Lexi. I wasn’t mad at you. I was shocked when you took the orange popsicle when you promised you would share. You also promised that you wouldn’t come to New Hampshire, and yet here we are.”
Lexi apologized and said that they could become friends. The two friends never got into a fight again, and if they did, they would always share their feelings. After the talk, the two friends went out and had an orange popsicle.
