The Gemini Constellation is my preferred one of all since it is my moonshine zodiac sign. I like it since it's best observed during winter or spring and my birthday is in Winter! (January second) Also, the star Pollux is the brightest star situated in the constellation. It is also 10 times greater than the sun! The Gemini constellation is connected with the Greek Mythology that the two brilliant stars at the highest point of the heavenly body relate to Pollux and Castor, who are stepbrothers in Greek Mythology.

417. Medieval Witch Burnings (Harry Potter)

The period of witch-hunts in Europe and colonial North America spanned roughly the 14th century to the 18th century. Those targeted by these hunts may or may not have actually been magical. Those found guilty of witchcraft were typically sentenced to death, often by being burnt alive at the stake. However, the effectiveness of burnings involving actual witches and wizards was questionable, as many, such as Wendelin the Weird, were able to escape death by using the Flame-Freezing Charm.

As the witch-hunts grew ever fiercer, British wizarding families began to live double lives, using charms of concealment to protect themselves and their families. By the seventeenth century, any witch or wizard who chose to fraternize with Muggles became suspect, even an outcast in his or her own community. Upon the signature of the International Statute of Secrecy in 1689, wizards went into hiding for good. It was natural, perhaps, that they formed their own small communities within a community. Many small villages and hamlets attracted several magical families, who banded together for mutual support and protection. The Salem Witch Trials, which occurred in colonial Massachusetts in 1692 and 1693, were a major traumatic event in the history of the wizarding world.

   Witch-hunts apparently continued into at least the 20th century in some regions. In 1926, Newt Scamander encountered a young girl in Sudan whose magical powers were discovered by Muggles, leading to her imprisonment.

416. Felix Felicis (Harry Potter)

    Felix Felicis, also called "Liquid Luck" is a magical potion that makes the drinker lucky for a period of time, during which everything they attempt will be successful. However, it causes giddiness, recklessness, and dangerous overconfidence if taken in excess. It is also highly toxic in large quantities and is also a banned substance in all organized competitions, such as Quidditch. It is very difficult to make and disastrous if it is made wrong. Along with that, it requires six months to stew before it is ready to be consumed.

    This potion was invented by Zygmunt Budge in the 16th century and proclaimed it as his greatest accomplishment ever. In the book, Professor Slughorn claimed that he used the potion twice in his life: once when he was twenty-four years old, and again when he was fifty-seven, both of which were two perfect days. The potion is said to look like molten gold and while exposed to air large drops will leap like goldfish above the surface without spilling.

    Felix Felicis possibly works by providing the drinker with the best possible scenario. This usually registers in the drinker's mind in the form of an unusual urge to take a certain action, or as a voice telling him to do so. The effectiveness of the potion thus depends on the cooperation of the drinker with the voice, for the drinker may for some reason be unable to follow their Felix-induced urges, or can simply choose not to.

    This is easily remedied, however, as the potion does not single out only one scenario, but changes paths as the situation unfolds. Then again, the chances of the drinker refusing to follow the urge are very unlikely, as it grows as a "sensation of infinite opportunity" where the person feels supremely confident enough to be infallible for the duration of the Potion's effect.

    Felix Felicis also seems to complete the magical power of the one who took it.

    Felix is the Latin word meaning happy or lucky. 'Felicis' is from the same root, but is translated as 'of luck.' Accordingly, Felix Felicis means “Luck of Luck.”

415. Mandrakes (Harry Potter)

    Mandrake or Mandragora is a powerful restorative item. It is a vital ingredient in remedial potions which are used to revive those who have been transfigured or cursed. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the Mandrakes are used to turn people back to their original state after they have been petrified by the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets. The cry of the uprooted Mandrake will kill, however infant mandrakes will only cause a person to lose consciousness. For example, when Hogwarts students studied Mandrakes in Herbology class, Professor Sprout had the students wear earmuffs to protect their ears from Mandrake's cries. 

    Surprisingly, Mandrakes have similar behaviors to humans. For instance, at one point in time, the Mandrake became “moody” and “secretive.” This indicated that they were reaching their teen years. Later on, they threw a loud and rowdy party, which is comparable to humans when they are teenagers. 

Hagrid also mentioned that the Mandrakes had acne. Furthermore, Mandrakes are fully matured when they start moving into each other's pots. When matured, Mandrakes can be cut up to serve as a prime ingredient for the Mandrake Restorative Draught. A Mandrake's scream is very similar to a banshee's scream, which is also fatal. The Dugbog's and Flesh-Eating Slugs are known to like Mandrakes, which leads to Mandrake-growers finding out that their Mandrakes have been eaten by the Dugbog's.

Electricity is a form of energy and Muggles need it for just about everything! Almost all of their modern conveniences are electrically powered. Electricity is what lights up their classrooms, heats their homes and lets them listen to their favorite music. Electrical energy is utilized to provide power to homes across the world.

Electricity is the presence and flow of electric charge. Using electricity we can transfer energy in ways that allow us to accomplish common chores. Its best-known form is the flow of electrons through conductors such as copper wires. ... When electrical charges are not moving, electricity is called static electricity.

This is an indicator of how much electricity is important in our lives. Being a universal energy resource, electricity is obtained from methods such as solar power, hydropower, wind power, natural gas, and the like. All devices which facilitate our life and impact a big portion of our life require electricity.

People can plug appliances into outlets to make them operate, and connect electrical wiring within the structure of the home to provide energy for indoor and outdoor lighting. Electricity is the most versatile and easily controlled form of energy. At the point of use it is practically loss-free and essentially non-polluting. 

Electricity is weightless, easier to transport and distribute, and it represents the most efficient way of consuming energy. Electricity helps them in many different ways like for medical purposes, their entertainment, the temperature, climate, education, operate machines, and much more! 

413. How to Read Tea Leaves (Harry Potter)

First, loose leaf tea is poured into teacups and drank until only the dregs remain. Next, the cup is swirled three times with the left hand and turned over to drain. Then the shapes of the leaves left in the cup are interpreted by the diviner. The best shape of the cup to be is one with a wide opening at the top and a bottom not too small. Cups with almost perpendicular sides are very difficult to read, as the symbols cannot be seen properly, and the same may be said of small cups.

He/she should then very slowly and carefully invert it over the saucer and leave it there for a minute, to get rid of all moisture draining away. 

Careful notice should be taken of all the shapes and figures formed inside the cup. These should be viewed in front of different positions so that their meaning becomes clear. It is not very easy at first to see what the shapes really are, but after looking at them carefully they become plainer.

The different shapes and figures in the cup must be taken together in a general reading. Bad indications will be balanced by good ones; some good ones will be strengthened by others, and so on.
