111. Cats and dogs get along

 By - Harini, Grade IV

Kacey, Linsy, Rosie, Tom, wake up sleepy heads! It’s time to go to school! Coming mom! At 8:00 AM they came down and their mom told them they had to get ready for school because it starts at 8:30! They only had 30 minutes to get ready!

Linsy was in the car along with Kacey and their parents Ronald and Stacy. Rosie and Tom were the last ones out. Their mother quickly started the car and drove Linsy to high school, Kacey to Elementary school along with Rosie and Tom.

When they went to school they saw their teacher Mrs. Willow and Miss. Hoppy. The children are always getting in trouble because they were always fighting, however, this time the fighting got much worse because of Halloween!

When it was gym, they always used to quarrel about who would get the special chair, bubbler, hula hoop, scooter and basketball. Oh, they were ready to argue about anything, but they did not know what was going to happen.

When school was over they all waited for their mom and dad to pick them up from school. When their parents came they all went home to put on their wonderful Halloween costumes.

Linsy was a princess, Kacey was a witch, Rosie was a unicorn and Tom was a robot. When they were all satisfied with their treats, they were just about to go home when they spotted a haunted house!!

They all approached it slowly and went inside the haunted house!! What they saw next was unimaginable they saw ghosts, ghouls, witches and black cats. They were about to go back, when Linsy spotted a little creature dragging their brother!

Help, Help! Shouted Tom as he was being pulled by the creature. The sisters knew that they had to get in the act. Linsy went to grab Tom’s arm, but she had sprained her leg. Ignoring the pain, she went again, but failed, she yelled to Kacey and told her to grab a nearby rope.

Kacey told Tom to grab the rope so she could pull him out of the creature’s grasp, sadly Stacey’s hand got rope burned, but she too did not care for she had to save her little brother Tom.

She knew that she had to save her brother so she yelled to Rosie and told her to help Linsy up so they could distract the creature while Kacey could grab her brother Tom. When they all tried out the plan it had worked just as Kacey had planned. The sister’s hugged their brother Tom and made sure that he was not hurt.

And at that same spot the sisters and their brother learned one very important thing they all cared for each other. Later that night at home their parents discussed that they need to pay for the dwarf that acted as a little creature who had dragged off Tom and for making the kids realize to take care for each other.

After that incident the children stopped fighting with one another, they found out that they all care for everyone. The parents were especially happy that they received compliments and no more complaints from the school. The family bonded with one another and made sure that there were no worries.
