183. Can you tell these Bears apart?

SNAP!!! CRUCH!! That is the sound of two bears strolling in Yellowstone National Park. One is a grizzly, and the other is a black bear. They may look the same, but, if you look closely you will notice some minor differences. Don't get too close because, remember, they are both bears.

To begin with, Black bears and Grizzly bears are very alike. One example, is that black bears and grizzly bears both share the same diet, Grizzly bears eat nuts, berries and fruits and so do black bears. Another example is that they also have the same colors, Grizzly bears colors are brown, blonde, jet black or sometimes white, Black bears also have the same colors as Grizzly bear! Last, but not least, Grizzly Bears and Black Bears are dangerous to humans when they feel like they are getting harmed or someone is stealing their food, they are also very protective about their cubs and food. Wow!! That is a lot of similarities, now let’s head on over to...differences!

Grizzly bears and Black bears have many similarities but they also have many differences. One example, is that Grizzly bears are large and Black bears are generally smaller, another reason is that Grizzly bears have a dish shaped face and Black bears don't have a dish shaped face! In addition, Grizzly bears have a hump over their shoulder and black bears don't have a hump over their shoulder. Grizzly bears have small, round ears and black bears have large oval ears. Amazing, these are are fascinating differences about Grizzly bears and Black bears.

So, Grizzly bears and black bears have a lot of similarities and differences. If you travel to Yellowstone National Park, you will be lucky to see a black or grizzly bear, but, make sure that you stay at least 100 ft away from both bears.
